Hello and welcome, in this post, I am going to show you to delete your Opay account in a few easy steps, so if you’ve been looking the way to go about it, stick to this post till the end and read everything so you don’t make mistakes in the process.

Deleting your opay account is easy, but there are things you need to pay attention to first before deciding whether or not to delete your Opay account, I won’t personally advise anyone to delete their Opay account, but you may have your personal reasons.

And now without wasting your time, let’s proceed with the post.

You may want to delete your opay account when you don’t want to use their services anymore, aside from this, I see no necessary reasons why anyone would want to delete their opay account.

But you may also have some personal reasons why you want delete your opay account, even though it is not necessary.

You can easily delete your opay account when you don’t want to use their services anymore, but before you proceed to delete your account, make sure there are no funds in your opay wallet.

1. Login to your opay account on the opay app
2. On the top left of the screen click on your profile image
3. On the top right, click edit
4. Scroll down and click delete your account
5. Confirm the account deletion

You cant recover your opay account after you delete it, so if you have some funds in your Opay wallet and deleted your account, you will also lose your money, even if you use the same mobile number to create another account, your funds will not be in the new account, keep this at the back of your mind before deleting your Opay account so you don’t end up losing your funds.

You will lose all your funds when you delete your Opay account and there’s no other way around it, although you can still use the same mobile number to open a new opay account, even if you do, your funds will not be available in the new account.

I will not advise anyone to delete their Opay accounts, if you need to change the number on your Opay account, you can do so, and if you have no clue, you can read my recent post about how to change your opay account number.

In this way, all your funds will be available for you after you are done changing your opay account number, and you will still retain all your details such as your name, date of birth, address etc. So deleting your Opay account is really not necessary.
